Welcome to our Summer Newsletter
As the academic year draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and especially for the recent flurry of emails offering kind words of praise and encouragement. With COVID-19 behind us, the ISI inspection recommendations in play, a talented and united staff team, new additions to our governing body, a quality enrichment programme, and more enquiries from prospective parents than ever before, I am already looking forward to celebrating further success with you next year.
SPOTLIGHT ON STAFF
This success will be in no small part due to a very special body of people who are often sadly ignored in conversations about the success of a school. I can assure you that without this group of staff, the school would simply cease to be.
The Office Staff

Anyone who has worked ‘front-of-house’ will understand just how difficult a job it is to minister to a large group of people. Ms McNamara (Registrar and Business Manager), Mrs Potter (Accounts Manager) and Miss Loftus (Receptionist) do this with aplomb, and the pace at which they operate never ceases to amaze me. Thank you!
The Domestic Staff

Sweeping, mopping, deep cleaning, sanitizing, refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, and preventing messes are just a few of the jobs that Mrs Fishwick (left), Mrs Savage (right) and Mrs Hambleton do to keep our school clean, functional and presentable. They work at the end of the day to make the start of our day possible. Thank You!
The Maintenance Staff

Beautiful, well-kept grounds and a clean, safe and secure school are a given at Tower College, but achieving them is quite a task. Add to this a rolling programme of refurbishment and managing the logistics of every event at the school. You have requirements that can only be carried out by a team of exceptionally dedicated individuals. Thankfully, with Mr Barr (Site Manager), Mr Barker (Gardener) and Mr Morgan (Assistant Site Manager), we have that team.
The Teaching Assistants

This is a truly remarkable quartet! Mrs. Gannon, Miss Byron, Miss Connelly, and Mrs. Phelan (left to right) are the epitome of compassion, flexibility, patience, skilled communication, and meticulous organisation. They are pivotal in the care and development of our children, and we are eternally grateful to them.
New Governors

I’m delighted to announce that the Tower College Governing Body has three new members. We have been very fortunate to have such quality governors with a wealth of experience and expertise. Ms Beaumont will oversee ‘Marketing and Admissions’, Mr Deane will oversee ‘Finance’, and Mr Stamper will oversee ‘Estates and Buildings. The image below shows the responsibilities associated with being a Governor.

GRADUATION DAY
We aim to provide our pupils with a wealth of opportunities inside and beyond the classroom. More than anything else, we want our pupils to have a strong moral code so that they can take their place as responsible citizens, ready to contribute positively to their communities and the wider world around them. We encourage them to have a commitment to serve others, participate in a wide range of activities, and develop the ability to lead others and, of course, the skills to learn effectively.
This week, I was delighted to award our pupils their graduation certificates. For me, the graduation ceremony is by far the most important date in the school calendar. It is a day on which we acknowledge and celebrate the most important thing about Tower College—THE SUCCESS OF THE CHILDREN. I couldn’t be more proud to see well-mannered and gracious children receive awards for outstanding work and contributions while being applauded by their peers, parents, and teachers.
I hope you and your family have time to rest over the coming weeks and that you have an enjoyable summer. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can support you with any aspect of your child’s learning and progress.
Ms Bingley (Principal)
